Em's Creations: My BFF

This layout is of me and my best friend Marcie. We have been friends since I was 16. That is a long time. We both grew up in Virginia, but now I live in NE PA and boy do I miss her.

Why I Scrap

My husband asked me why I scrap...that's a good question...why do I scrap...I want to leave a legacy, not just some pictures thrown in an album. I want to tell the story as I remember it. It is an outlet for me. I can be as creative or as plain as I feel the need. My scrap room is my little piece of heaven on earth. I can go in, close the door, turn on my music and create. When I see the finished product, my chest puffs out a little, my chin lifts up just a tad and I say, "Man, I did that with my own hands." Okay Ladies, don't even try to say that you don't do the same thing. With my cards, I love the look on people's faces when they receive them. My husband gave me the best compliment every..I was making a card for a friend of ours who was getting married. When he saw it, he said, "Why don't you sell your cards? You do great work. You can't find a card this good in Hallmark." Well Ladies, you can imagine the tears rolling down my face. I am trying to get into the business, but it is slow going. God willing, I will get this thing off the ground by the end of the year.
